Hey everyone, I have a 1998 Honda Valkyrie tourer. The rear left blinker went out.... when I changed the bulb it still wouldn't come on. The front blinker is on and blinking fast to indicate that the rear is out. However, I cant seem to find out what is causing the issue. Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

A test light that works. Check at battery. Probe the contact for power. Sometimes the contact will sink down in the plastic base. If that is the problem , a new contact is due. If no power , there is a plug in at the fender separation. Un-plug and test for power. D O  N O T  pierce the wires to test for power. Easier to do , but it will bite you later on. If no power there , look at the wiring under the seat.

So this syndrome sounds like you added LED bulbs to the turn signal circuits. If you did a kit is offered to fix it but in all actuality Silverstar offers a tad brighter halogen bulb replacement w/o "wash out" of the color like LED's can. Be sure to clean the socket really good and use a touch dielectric grease on the bulb for final install.

Now something someone supposedly discovered on the Shadow forum, the OEM bulb from Honda fits more loosely than the USA 1157/1156 to my understanding. Now I've always used regular 1156/1157's my whole lifetime w/o issue thus I guess using the grease is beneficial for sure.

OEM/Japan --- P21/5W(front). P21(rear).
USA/Compatible (same thing) --- 7528(front). 7506(rear).
