Hey Michigan, I have a good friend that lives in Big Rapids MI who could use a little help in getting his I/S started…..he is not mechanical savvy.
He had the bike towed ($250) to Mt Pleasant Honda dealer and they
said it started up fine. Now that it’s home it won’t start. It turns over real good with a new battery.
Maybe if a Michigan Valkyrie rider was in his neighborhood they could stop in and help him.
He wants to get it started and running so he can offer it up for sale.
You can PM me for more info.   Thanks.

How long has he had it?
Perhaps he's not pushing the 'choke' all the way down, and on cooler days it need full enrichment. On warmer days, some (mine included) will start without it.

He actually has 3 Valks… a Tourer which is here in Idaho and then a 97 Trike with a Roadsmithkit and then the I/S. When he lived here we looked after the maintenance for him.
Then to be closer to his family he moved to Michigan.
I’ve talked to him by phone about the obvious reasons it might not start but nothing has helped. Mt Pleasant is 40 miles away from him and that’s where it was towed and apparently it started for them.

1 fuel. Could be out of gas?  Petcock needs to be on reserve and it’s on ON?

2. New battery is not necessarily a charged battery. Tell him to jump it to his car and see if it starts.

3.  How long has it sat before started last. If months then it’s probably gummed up carbs.
