It seems RedEye does not list carb kits any more, just tees and some other stuff. Anyone know? I've seen mixed reviews on the AllBalls kits. Also anyone tried the Easy Install Airbox Mod yet? I'd rather take a beating than deal with the octopus again. Or the individual air cleaners-which ones fit? Bike runs great-just leaks. I have checked the long bolts thru the fuel rails, no help there. Running with 0Ethanol gas did not help this time. 99 IS. Thx for any replies.

Can’t help with All Balls kits. No experience. BUT, don’t modify the air box. Virtually all who tried regret it.

I build the Easy Install Airbox Mod he referred to. It does not change the airflow characteristics of the original Aitbox. My mod allows you to install the tubes on the air horns and then set the airbox on. It is secured with threaded adapters we 3D print. Full information is available on out website.

I looked at the ABox mod. Great idea! If I do the job I will be ordering it. That is really the worst part of the whole job.

How bad is it leaking? I would run a couple tanks of B12 carb. cleaner through it first.

I wish...it's dripping multiple places, about a drip every 2-3 seconds. Thx.

Has it been setting all Winter? Some say the o-rings will swell when exposed to enough gas. Some say the B-12 will cause the o-rings to swell. Having never been there or done that, I don't know. Some guys wouldn't get within 100 feet of that leak. Others would jump on it and go for a 100 mile ride. If your risk tolerance can handle it, B-12 the gas, roll it out to the driveway, fire it up and run it for 20 minutes or so. I would be standing by with a full fire extinguisher myself.

I try to ride it at least monthly or more. It's been leaking a little for a while. Just got worse last ride, right when I was thinking of selling her, of course. I would not even allow a test ride leaking gas. At least it runs perfect thanks to the E0 gas I put in for the winter. I've owned her for 10-12 years, been into the carbs before. Just hate to do it with questionable orings and have to redo. Happened on a Honda 750 a while back. I count 52 orings in the AB kit plus 12 bowl gaskets and 6 intake orings... what could go wrong...I've done (in the past) my V65, my CBX, my KZ900, dirt bikes....I'm just done with carbs at age 70+. I took the carbs off yesterday evening and ordering parts now. Thanks all.

I used the All Balls rebuild kit in June 2021, no problems to date. I also used the All Balls kit on a bike I traded in several years ago that Peteg now has, and to my knowledge he's had no problems with the carbs or rails.
I know some don't like the kit because they don't sort the o-rings into separate bags so must be laid out and sorted.

Thanks all, I've got em ordered along with the airbox mod install tubes. I did find my issue today. The plastic fuel tee orings looked hard, brown and disgusting. Might as well have not been there. I hope the tees will be ok, might have to order the metal ones from Redeye. I bet I'm not the first to lose one of the springs that go between the carbs where the throttles meet. I was just so glad to get em apart I forgot about keeping an eye on those turds. Maybe I'll find it tomorrow... Part # 16053-MA6-003 or find a substitute.
