Anybody got a video or instructions to rebuild the waterpump. Just don't want to go into it blind. Thanks

Sorry: Never heard of anyone able to do that. I suppose your seal is leaking. As an FYI, before you remove it, drain the oil first.

Two o'rings is the extent of a rebuild. The draining of oil? Please explain as I've done coolant service before without draining the oil though I didn't remove the water pump but I'm curious as to why.

Here is another thread that talks about the rebuild of a water pump.

The water pump is driven by a slotted drive in the engine. If you pull the WP, the oil all comes out through the same opening. An O ring seals off the water from the crankcase.

From what I understand the water pump from the GL1500 will work on the Valkyrie you just need to replace the cover with the one from the Valkyrie.

That's really cool if it works, Valkyrie waterpumps are "unavailable". I bought a nice used one
"just in case" recently. Punisher just bought a (non-OEM) rebuild kit. There's one of the
radiator hoses (the one with the slinky on it if I remember correctly) that is unavailable.
Ebay has multi-colored silicone replacements... anyone ever tried one of those?

This is a quote from a member on the Valkyrie Facebook group. If you're a member of the group just search water pump you should see it come up. I can't confirm since I've thankfully not had to deal with it but figured I'd pass along the information.

Quote
Tim Orr the water pumps are the same but the front face cover on the two pumps need to be switched. The valk water pump front hose bib need to go on the new Goldwing water pump. When changing your water pump make sure to drain oil and antifreeze before pulling or you will have a mess.
