I have a set of used passing lights with turn signals from National Cycle that I'm looking to install. I have 2 questions. First in Ohio the law is can only have 2 headlights, has anyone had anyone give them issues over having these lights on their bike? 2nd the instructions say to leave the turn signal clamps on, I assume it is for the support for the headlight bucket. I don't remember seeing those on other bikes with the passing lights, is that because I wasn't paying attention or is there another option?

Pay attention to all the Harleys. Do you see any with 3 front lights? I wouldn’t worry about it. I doubt the cops enforce that law.

Thanks, that makes sense. I've been looking at my pictures from passed Inzanes to see what other people did on the install with the old marker/ blinker lights.

I feel silly, the part that is supposed to be left on is the bracket on the back of the headlight bucket. It's not for headlight support it's to keep the turn signals position.

Those aren't headlights, they're passing lamps (running lights).

Does Ohio have annual safety inspections (like VA)?  If they do and you passed, that's strong evidence you are in compliance with law.

And, "Officer, I'm just doing my best to be seen by other vehicles and not get hit by anyone sir."

We don't have a safety inspection in Ohio. I'm just putting them on now. I agree a polite explanation of  intension can go a long way.

Still figurin out the switchology on my 12 G/W Trike. When Doc-Josh Cilley-pulled into my driveway it almost looked like a plane landing. The 2 fairing mounted headlights and 4 road/fog lights all on And L E Ds aroud the fairing headlights. And other L E Ds mounted all over this G/W! But as RIDERS we've all may have heard this a time or three No matter how we're dressed no matter how many flags are flappin in the wind on our rides and no matter how many L E D lights we have. What have we RIDERS Heard?? SORRY DUDE I didn't see ya!  Lips Sealed  Cry RIDE SAFE.
