Looks like next week I'll finally get a 1999 1500 Valkyrie. I proactively need help picking a good service manual. I see some bad rating s for some of them. Can anybody help? Thank you.

You want the OE Honda 1500 1997-2003 Service manual (not aftermarket).

If it's no longer available, it's probably out there on PDF or a disk, ebay, yada.

Here's a link to a downloadable PDF of the service manual. It's nice if you can find a hard copy as well though. Id suggest if you have Facebook to join the group there, many more active members there and easy to upload photos and videos if you have questions on things.

I ordered mine from Helm Inc last year. Spendy at $125. It's under Honda Powersports in the menu.

I even have this PDF on my phone.  It makes it much easier to use while working on the bike and need a torque value or something like that.

Same here, I have the PDF on my phone for quick reference or when I'm not home but have a hard copy for when I'm sitting down doing something like rebuilding the carbs.

Well worth the money, imho.

The PDF is a good reference, but flipping through the pages of the manual is just easier.

I was up in Il. with da prez and we went to the Honds dlr for a factory service manual for my 12 G/W. And the parts guy NEVER blinked when he said $238.00 + tax. I found the factory svc manual for my 12 G/w + electrical trouble shooting guide already in a loose leaf binder on e bay for a bit south of $140.00. Clymer would be my choice for other than a Factory svc manual. RIDE SAFE.    Foubd the rcpt was actually $113.05!
