I fear the answer to this question...

Is AtticRat no longer doing repairs and carb rebuilds?

That being said, I need a ultrasonic cleaner that will hold the carburetor stack in its tank with carb cleaner.

Anyone have information on one of these?

I'll see if I can find that post from years ago, by AtticRat...

Thank you, Sir!  cooldude

Just trying to figure out if I want to attempt it myself, or hit up someone doing so as a business.

Heck, I am not even sure what size ultrasonic cleaner to get....  Undecided

I done a set of 82' GW carbs and used Berryman B12 as my cleaning/soak agent. Pay close attention to the procedure in the OEM.

Hey there, Nick! How's the family and all those lactating ladies in your farm? LoL.

Yeah, still kickin'. My oncologist still has the tumors under control for now.  My Valkyrie is needing a couple new seat covers and some cleaning/tuning/tires. My boy was asking if I would sell it to him, started making arrangements for that... Then he caught himself a lovely young bride and haven't heard any of that talk since.

I take it you are still riding your Phat Gurl then?

Oh... My daughter married a good young Brit! The e served the Queen in the RAF, doing the same thing I did for USAF, only on helicopters. I like that chap! Good kid.

Dave,

I don't know if Bob is taking on new work or not. If not, I can help you.

If you really are intent on doing it yourself, I can advise you on an ultrasonic cleaner and solution, as well as parts.

If you want the work done professionally, I can do that. Here is a description from my web site:

PACKAGE INCLUDES:

•   Your Carbs Rebuilt.
•   They are balanced and tuned on the test engine.

*Choose this package if you want to have your carbs rebuilt and returned to you.+

Set will be refurbished and in excellent condition.

CARB REBUILD:

Carbs are completely disassembled, ultrasonically cleaned, and reassembled after verifying passages are clear.
New parts – 156 total:
• All O-rings and gaskets
• K&L Bowl Needle Valves
• Bowl screws
• Slow and main jets. 35/100 (stock) or jet for your exhaust if not stock.
• Main needles
• Pilot screws, springs, washers
• Fuel Lines and clamps
• Air Cut Valve screws and tubing
• Crossover arm bearings and cotter pins
• Balance adjusting (flyaway!) springs as needed.

Testing Done:
• Air Cut Valves tested and verified working.
• Vacuum test bowl gaskets and drain screw O-rings seal.
• Balance (sync) carbs on the test engine with Digi Sync.
• Tune on the test engine.

Carbs will be shipped via UPS.

Whichever way you want to go, contact me through my website. I will see it sooner than the forum here. I am also a sponsor here.

One of them has a slow jet passage restricted.... There is a bit of power loss coming off idle until about 1800RPM. I tried to find which carburetor, but my Harbor Freight infrared temperature sensor gun didn't make it evident which headpipe was cooler/hotter than the others.

so pull out the pilot jets if u think thats the problem. and clean them by hand. zero need for an ultra sonic.
if it runs then IMO its not pilot jets. since its running put TC-W3 in the correct ratio in the fuel and ride.
it cleans everything in the carbs and even the ring packs.  see here https://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91206

so question, is this riding after sitting for months even with stabilizer? if so the gas is a little old, just ride it with TC-W3

have u checked all vacuum lines for leaks?  are all plug wires tight on plugs?

Thanks for the link 98Valk.  That is very interesting.  I will start using it in the Valk and the wife's 2020 Escape.  The Valk just went over 100,000 miles.  I am interested to hear/feel the difference.

welcome

I've been using it for 3 yrs, at least 2 mpg increase.
others on board followed my lead and have reported positive results.

Not really interested in the minimal MPG increase, but the lubrication and cleaning properties have me captured.

yep, that is how I originally found TC-W3 when I was looking for a fuel lubricate to help reduce the wear of the needle in the needle well that happens over time. In other carbs the needle wells can be replaced, but these carbs they are not replaceable, the complete carb body would have to be replaced.
I really liked how it also keeps the piston ring pack clean.
